In a new initiative aimed at supporting working parents, the Ajman Government has announced flexible working hours for employees with school-age children. Beginning with the new school term, employees can adjust their work schedules to accommodate their children's needs on the first day of school. Specifically, they are permitted to either start work later or finish earlier, with a total flexibility of up to three hours. This adjustment is designed to help parents manage school drop-offs and pick-ups more conveniently.

For parents with children attending nurseries and kindergartens, this flexibility extends through the first week of the school term, recognizing the additional time required for settling younger children into their new routines.
This move follows a similar directive issued on Thursday for employees within the federal government, reflecting a broader commitment to supporting working parents across various government sectors.
