The company's recent announcement of an eight-month salary bonus for employees comes following a record-breaking net profit of $1.98 billion for the fiscal year 2023-2024.
The airline's financial statement underscores sustained demand for air travel, particularly buoyed by a rebound in North Asia, as regions like China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Taiwan fully reopened their borders post-pandemic.

Singapore Airlines' exceptional performance was further acknowledged with the Skytrax World Airline Awards, where it clinched the prestigious title of the best airline in the world for the sixth time in the awards' 23-year history.
CEO Goh Choon Phong emphasized that the award reflects the collective efforts and sacrifices made by the team to position SIA for the aviation industry's recovery, making it stronger and more resilient post-pandemic.
Meanwhile, the Emirates Group also celebrated unprecedented profits and rewarded its workforce with bonuses equivalent to 20 weeks' worth of pay. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group, lauded the group's employees for their unwavering dedication and contribution to the company's success.
The Emirates Group's robust financial performance saw significant growth in profits and sales for both Emirates and Dnata, resulting in a 10% increase in overall employment to 112,406, representing over 170 nationalities across 84 countries. This milestone marks the group's largest workforce to date, underscoring its global reach and diverse talent pool.
