Government and business leaders are set to gather in Dubai tomorrow, Tuesday, June 11th, for the highly anticipated AI Retreat 2024. This event, hosted under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aims to delve into the vast opportunities presented by Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies on both local and global scales. Held at the Museum of the Future and AREA 2071 in Emirates Towers, the retreat will bring together over 1,000 decision-makers, industry experts, and AI enthusiasts from across government and private sectors, as well as global tech giants.

Organized by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) in collaboration with the National Program for Artificial Intelligence, the AI Retreat marks the inaugural event under the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence (DUB.AI). This groundbreaking initiative seeks to accelerate the adoption of AI applications and solidify Dubai's position as a global hub for technological innovation and AI development.

The retreat will kick off with a keynote address by His Excellency Omar Sultan AlOlama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications. AlOlama will outline the objectives of the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence, which aims to drive the widespread integration of AI technologies across various sectors.

Following the keynote, the event will feature insightful panel discussions led by global AI experts and industry leaders. These discussions will focus on innovations, success stories, and the evolving role of government in adopting AI applications. One panel, titled 'From Dubai to the World: Scaling Local Unicorns,' will explore entrepreneurship in Dubai's dynamic ecosystem, with a specific emphasis on AI startups and their growth potential.

Another crucial panel, titled 'Government’s Role in Enabling AI Adoption through Policy Development and Regulatory Innovation,' will delve into the multifaceted role of government in shaping AI policies and regulations. Participants will discuss the impact of regulatory frameworks on AI development and the importance of fostering an innovation-friendly environment.

Additionally, the AI Retreat will feature outcome-based roundtable discussions, aimed at producing tangible outcomes to drive progress in key areas. These roundtables will cover topics such as data regulation and policies, computing and digital infrastructure, funding and finance, and talent ecosystem development.

Moreover, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in specialized workshops and panels hosted by strategic partners from the private and public sectors. These workshops will cover a wide range of topics, including AI applications, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
