Under the esteemed patronage and in the gracious presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), Rochester Institute of Technology - Dubai (RIT-Dubai) celebrated the graduation of over 250 students across 16 bachelor’s and master’s programs for the academic year 2023-2024. Situated in Dubai Silicon Oasis, a special economic zone for knowledge and innovation and a member of DIEZ, RIT-Dubai stands at the forefront of academic excellence in the region.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum emphasized the pivotal role of universities in realizing the objectives of the Dubai Social Agenda 33, striving to position Dubai among the world’s top 10 cities for quality education by 2033. He lauded the performance of the graduates and commended RIT-Dubai for its contribution to nurturing future leaders adept in driving innovation and technological advancements in the knowledge and digital economy.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of RIT-Dubai, His Excellency Abdulrahman Saleh Al Saleh, reiterated the university's commitment to delivering world-class education, thereby bolstering Dubai’s standing as a preferred destination for students, graduates, and researchers. He highlighted RIT-Dubai's integral role in fostering talent and promoting entrepreneurship, thus contributing to Dubai’s economic competitiveness and sustainable growth.
Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Executive Chairman of DIEZ, emphasized the significance of integrating knowledge development and innovation for sustainable socio-economic progress. He praised RIT-Dubai's role in nurturing talent and fostering research initiatives that drive economic growth and attract investments, positioning Dubai as a global hub for innovation.
Dr. James Myers, Associate Provost for International Education and Global Programs at RIT, commended the graduates for their achievements and emphasized RIT-Dubai's commitment to providing students with the necessary skills and abilities to thrive in the ever-evolving job market, particularly in fields related to artificial intelligence and advanced solutions.
President of RIT-Dubai, Dr. Youssef Al-Assaf, expressed pride in the university's contribution to Dubai’s journey towards scientific and knowledge excellence. He highlighted RIT-Dubai's role in supplying the labor market with creative talents equipped to drive innovation and create a brighter future. Dr. Al-Assaf also underscored the university's commitment to launching new programs aligned with Dubai’s strategic goals.
