Abu Dhabi’s Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC) concluded a landmark two-day mission in Singapore, signing seven Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with top local construction, engineering, and architecture firms. The agreements aim to accelerate innovation, smart city planning, and modular construction across the Emirate’s US$54+ billion infrastructure pipeline.
The delegation, led by ADPIC Director General Engineer Maysarah Mahmoud Salim Eid, included senior officials from the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), and leading developers like Aldar, Modon, Bloom Holding, and LEAD Development. They engaged with Singaporean experts in prefabricated construction, digital twins, sustainable infrastructure, and modern project delivery methods.
The MoUs were signed with BCA International, Surbana Jurong, Meinhardt Group, Singapore Institute of Architects, CPG Corporation, TOM Singapore, and RSP Architects. These partnerships are set to strengthen knowledge transfer, sustainability practices, and innovative delivery in Abu Dhabi’s infrastructure projects.
The visit included high-level meetings, project presentations, and site tours of Surbana Jurong Campus and Teambuild ICPH modular construction facilities. Abu Dhabi developers highlighted opportunities across mixed-use developments, residential communities, and integrated urban districts, while Singaporean partners showcased advanced construction techniques and smart city planning strategies.
The roadshow is part of ADPIC’s international engagement plan, following the inaugural Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit in June 2025. The summit had drawn over 4,100 participants from more than 100 countries, signaling Abu Dhabi’s growing ambition to adopt global best practices in building resilient, sustainable, and digitally-enabled urban spaces.
The mission also underscored Singapore’s role as a hub for smart city expertise and Abu Dhabi’s commitment to integrating global knowledge into its infrastructure vision. With the MoUs in place, Abu Dhabi is poised to accelerate projects that combine technology, sustainability, and innovative delivery models, shaping the future of the Emirate’s urban landscape.
