Abu Dhabi to host global One Run race on May 24, 2025

Abu Dhabi will have a big running event called One Run on 24 May 2025 at Hudayriyat Island. This race is being planned by Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Hero League together. People of all ages can join. They can pick how far they want to run — there will be a half marathon, 10km, 5km, and 1km race. This race is made to help people be more active and live a healthy life. The goal is to make sports a daily habit and help people feel better in their life.

One Run is a world event. It happens in many countries on the same day. This year will be the ninth time it happens. People from more than 30 countries are expected to run, like India, Russia, Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, Brazil, and many more. This race is known as the biggest half marathon in the world.

Talal Mustafa Al Hashmi, who helps plan events at Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said they are happy to work with Hero League. He said Hudayriyat Island is now a great place for sports in Abu Dhabi. He also said this race is part of their plan to help people love sports and make it part of their everyday life.

One Run started in 2017. It has grown fast. It even got into the Guinness World Records two times. In 2023, it became an international race. In 2024, it took place in 15 countries. This shows that many people around the world love this race and want to be a part of it.
