Abu Dhabi Residents Embrace Daily 6,000 Steps Challenge

Abu Dhabi residents have embarked on a new fitness endeavor with the introduction of the "First Steps" challenge by the Active Abu Dhabi initiative. In collaboration with Emirates Foundation and PureHealth, this daily health initiative aims to encourage participants to walk 6,000 steps every day.

The challenge is inclusive, welcoming community members of all fitness levels to join in. To enhance the walking experience, optional side challenges are offered. These additional challenges provide participants with opportunities to elevate their journey and further improve their physical activity routine.

The event is currently taking place at Umm Al Emarat Park in Abu Dhabi and will continue until March 31. Operating from 4pm to 11pm daily, residents have ample opportunity to engage in this fitness initiative and work towards their daily step goal.

The "First Steps" challenge incorporates a 6,000-step daily target, with 3,000 steps easily achievable along the 1.2km walking route at Umm Al Emarat Park. For those seeking additional challenges, various add-on challenges are available at the Active Abu Dhabi Information Desk located on-site.
