Abu Dhabi City Municipality, with its partners, planted 8,467 Ghaf trees on Abu Dhabi Island and the mainland. This work is part of its promise to care for nature. It also supports the Plant UAE program started by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. The Ghaf tree is special because it is important to the UAE’s culture, history, and environment. It is also a symbol of peace and strength.

This tree planting plan helps the UAE’s dream of becoming greener and more friendly to nature. It helps lower harmful gases, improves farming, and makes cities better places to live. The trees were planted in places like running tracks, bike paths, roadsides, parks, and green areas. These spots were picked carefully so the trees could help both nature and people.

Different areas took part in planting the trees. The Abu Dhabi City Centre planted 883 trees, Zayed City Centre planted 673 trees, Shahama Centre planted 4,480 trees, Al Wathba Centre planted 1,380 trees, and Mussafah Centre planted 1,051 trees. All together, 8,467 Ghaf trees were planted this year.

The municipality made sure this plan worked well. They got the land ready, set up water pipes, dug holes for the trees, and brought workers and tools to the sites. After the trees were planted, they kept checking on them and took care of them to make sure they grew strong.

This project shows how important the Ghaf tree is to the UAE. It helps the land and keeps the UAE’s culture alive. By planting these trees, Abu Dhabi is working to build a greener and better future for everyone.
