The Department of Municipalities and Transport, in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, has initiated a comprehensive field survey campaign throughout Abu Dhabi aimed at addressing the issue of abandoned or misused government housing. This initiative aligns with the government's vision to create integrated residential communities that uphold sustainable standards, ultimately fostering social welfare and family cohesion.

The campaign is a continuation of previous awareness efforts and field surveys conducted under the provisions of Law No. (8) of 2019, which regulates the occupancy of properties and residential units in Abu Dhabi. By systematically assessing the condition of government housing, the authorities seek to identify and rectify instances of misuse or neglect.

Officials emphasize that the campaign not only targets improving living conditions but also aims to educate residents about the importance of proper occupancy practices. By promoting responsible use of government housing, the initiative strives to ensure that these properties serve their intended purpose and contribute positively to the community.
