Abu Dhabi Launches Community of Practice for Internal Auditors

The Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority (ADAA) has worked with the Department of Government Enablement to start a new group called the Community of Practice (CoP) for internal auditors. This is the first group of its kind in Abu Dhabi. The goal is to improve how audits are done across different areas in the city.

The group is part of ADAA’s mission to make audits more honest, clear, and responsible. It also helps share good ideas and improve audit standards.

The first meeting of the group was held on 25 November 2024. Over 100 people attended, including leaders of internal audits from many sectors. They talked about the group’s purpose, new rules from ADAA, and how new technologies like AI can make audits better.

The group’s main goal is to create a strong connection between ADAA and audit professionals. By working together, they hope to improve audit quality.

The group also wants to find better ways to protect public money and share knowledge across sectors. Its main aim is to help the government stay responsible and clear with its spending.
