Abu Dhabi AI Council Reviews Key Tech Projects and Global Strategy

A high-level meeting of the Abu Dhabi Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council (AIATC) was held recently, led by His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi. The meeting took place in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

During the meeting, council members reviewed the latest progress in artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced technology projects happening across Abu Dhabi. They also looked at new investments and research work in the field.

Sheikh Tahnoon explained that the main goal of the council is to create strong strategies and plans for AI and technology in the emirate. This includes setting up funding programs and working with both local and global partners to make Abu Dhabi a world leader in AI. The council is focused on using smart technology to improve public services and the overall quality of life.

The meeting also included discussions on worldwide trends in AI and where the best future opportunities may lie. Council members talked about how Abu Dhabi can attract leading international AI companies and top talent from around the world. The aim is to boost the emirate’s role in the global technology space and make it more competitive.

Updates were also shared on important projects led by the Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company (ADQ), the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), and e& (formerly known as Etisalat Group).
