Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, hosted a delegation from the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) at the Sharjah Ruler’s Office on Tuesday. The delegation, led by Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of the Authority, presented an overview of their ongoing efforts to enhance the security and efficiency of the nation’s ports and borders.
During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah was briefed on the authority’s initiatives aimed at bolstering security and safety across various entry points into the country, aligning with the directives of the nation’s leadership. The discussion included detailed insights into the future plans and strategies for improving service levels at Sharjah’s land, sea, and air ports.
The ICP delegation also outlined the key challenges they face and the collaborative efforts with local departments and authorities in Sharjah. Their work is designed to benefit citizens, residents, visitors, and tourists, while also supporting the national economy and enhancing the UAE’s tourism appeal.

The meeting was attended by several prominent figures, including Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Seaports, Customs, and Free Zones Authority; Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah International Airport Authority; Major General Arif Mohammed Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs; along with other senior officials.
