A group of allied countries, part of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group—also known as the Ramstein format—is expected to announce a fresh military aid package for Ukraine valued at around $580 million. This announcement is set to be made during a scheduled meeting on Friday, April 11.

According to reporting by Reuters, which was cited by Ukrinform, the United Kingdom will be a key contributor to this aid, allocating $455 million from a broader $5.8 billion fund dedicated to supporting Ukraine’s defense in 2025. Norway is expected to cover the remainder of the package.

The aid will focus on critical military needs, including the repair and upkeep of vehicles and military equipment. It will also fund the supply of radar systems, anti-tank mines, and hundreds of thousands of drones—an area that has become increasingly vital on the battlefield.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has previously spoken about the importance of Ramstein meetings, noting that Ukraine has reached several important agreements with partner nations in these discussions—especially concerning air defense.

The upcoming meeting on April 11 will be chaired by the British Defense Minister and is part of ongoing international efforts to support Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression. The Ukraine Defense Contact Group, first formed in April 2022, has become one of the key international platforms for coordinating military aid and defense support for Kyiv.
