This forum is designed to significantly boost the UAE’s industrial sector, which is projected to contribute AED 205 billion to the national GDP by the end of 2023.
As part of its strategy to enhance the industrial landscape, the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) will collaborate closely with ADNEC Group to promote the forum's success. Their focus will include highlighting industrial enablers, investment incentives, opportunities, advancements in AI, and sustainable manufacturing practices.
His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Managing Director and CEO of ADNOC Group, stated, “In alignment with our leadership’s vision to foster industrial growth, enhance supply chain resilience, and diversify the economy, MoIAT is dedicated to empowering the industrial sector and boosting its resilience. The industrial sector has made a substantial contribution to the national economy, reaching an impressive AED 205 billion by the end of 2023.”
Dr. Al Jaber emphasized that this initiative encourages investors and companies to seize the opportunities available within the UAE’s industrial sector. He remarked, “This forum and its accompanying exhibitions have evolved into a significant platform, both regionally and internationally, seizing vast investment opportunities in smart manufacturing, sustainable industrialization, and advanced technologies. The ministry, in collaboration with its partners, is executing a new strategy to elevate the event’s prominence regionally and globally. This effort has successfully drawn in local and global investments, with investors taking advantage of the UAE’s competitive advantages and its role as an incubator for industrial projects of all sizes.
The upcoming fourth edition of the Make it in the Emirates Forum will be characterized by enhanced collaboration between the public and private sectors, particularly through the partnership between MoIAT and ADNEC. This partnership aims to leverage both sectors' logistical capabilities, financial solutions, and incentives to maximize the forum’s impact. It will create promising opportunities for investors to establish and expand their businesses, enabling access to key markets and improving the competitiveness of their products on both regional and global stages. This collaboration has contributed to a 10 percent annual growth in manufacturing facilities within the country. The forum will also highlight international agreements and opportunities worth billions of dirhams, showcase success stories from international companies operating in the UAE, and emphasize the importance of innovation and manufacturing.
His Excellency Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, UAE Minister of Culture, remarked, “We acknowledge the significant influence of productive nations on the journey of humanity and the remarkable achievements they facilitate. We take pride in the efforts that position the UAE as a leader in industry, propelled by skilled national talent equipped with world-class knowledge, expertise, and scientific insight. A key feature of this edition will be a dedicated pavilion for Emirati handicrafts, showcasing local talent and the cultural heritage of the UAE. This will be complemented by exhibitions from various sectors including advanced manufacturing, food and beverage, agritech, pharmaceuticals, medtech, shipbuilding, metals and fabrication, handicrafts, AI and Industry 4.0, chemicals, plastics and sustainable materials, oil and gas, hydrogen and energy, electrical equipment, machinery and construction materials, aerospace, automotive, and defense. The collaborative efforts aim to build upon the success of previous editions, which saw significant engagement from local and international entities.
Key stakeholders will further emphasize the importance of public-private partnerships. The collaboration between MoIAT and ADNEC ensures logistical capabilities, financial solutions, and incentives that amplify the forum’s impact.
The upcoming forum is expected to unveil additional purchasing agreements for UAE-based industrial companies, building on the AED 143 billion announced through previous editions, which included 2,000 products for local manufacturing. Past editions also witnessed the introduction of new enablers and incentives, including competitive financing solutions for industrial companies worth AED 16 billion via Emirates Development Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank, and Mashreq Bank, which included AED 3.1 billion in technology financing. In 2025, exhibition space is expected to exceed 50,000 square meters, with an anticipated increase in visitor numbers to over 20,000 compared to 6,100 visitors in 2024.
His Excellency Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and Chairman of the UAE Chambers, stated, “We have been collaborating with MoIAT to organize the Make it in the Emirates Forum since its inception, as part of our commitment to strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as the region’s most competitive industrial hub. This collaboration reflects ADDED’s commitment to contributing to Operation 300bn, as well as the objectives of the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy (ADIS) and the UAE Net Zero by 2050 Strategic Initiative.
