On Saturday, an Israeli airstrike in the occupied West Bank resulted in the deaths of two individuals, according to Palestinian officials. The Israeli military claimed that the strike targeted a "terrorist cell" in the Jenin area.
The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that the bodies of the victims were transferred to Jenin public hospital following the bombing of a car in the city center. The official Palestinian news agency Wafa stated that the strike was executed by an Israeli drone.
Video footage shared online depicts a vehicle engulfed in flames in the middle of a street, with images showing bystanders gathered around the charred car, attempting to open its doors. In one video, a man can be heard shouting that there are deceased individuals in the car as rescue workers bring a stretcher.
The violence in the West Bank has intensified following Hamas's unprecedented attack on Israel on October 7. Since then, clashes have escalated in the West Bank, a territory occupied by Israel since 1967 and geographically separated from Gaza by Israeli land.

According to an AFP count based on Palestinian official figures, at least 635 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank by Israeli forces or settlers since October 7. During the same period, Israeli official figures report that at least 18 Israelis, including soldiers, have died in Palestinian attacks.
