Two hours into the start of the amnesty program designated for overstaying offenders, the number of recruitment companies willing to offer employment to individuals seeking to regularize their visa status and stay in the UAE has reached 15. This update was provided by General Obaid Muhair Bin Suroor, Deputy Director of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDFRA), during his visit to the settlement center for overstaying offenders in Al Aweer, Dubai.
In the initial half-hour of the program, the settlement center received applications from 100 individuals who had violated residency regulations. Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDFRA, confirmed that the initiative has successfully partnered with 15 major private sector companies to provide job opportunities for those looking to resolve their visa issues and continue residing in the UAE.

Lieutenant General Al Marri reported that the procedures for 100 offenders were completed within just 30 minutes of the amnesty period’s commencement. The center in Al Aweer has been equipped to handle up to 2,000 visitors daily, complemented by 86 Amer centers spread throughout the emirate to assist with the processing of requests.
To ensure a smooth experience, GDFRA has deployed teams to guide visitors through the necessary steps for regularizing their residency status. These efforts aim to provide comprehensive support and facilitate the swift resolution of visa issues for those impacted by the amnesty program.
