11th World Green Economy Summit: Innovating for Impact

The 11th World Green Economy Summit (WGES) will be held on October 1st and 2nd, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The summit will be held under the theme "Innovating for Impact: Accelerating the Future of the Green Economy." This event is organized under the leadership of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. It is supported by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), and the World Green Economy Organization.

The summit will gather important leaders, experts, decision-makers, and representatives from government organizations and universities. They will come together to discuss and find solutions to speed up the transition to a greener and more sustainable economy. The main focus will be to make real progress toward reaching net-zero carbon emissions and creating a fair global green economy.

Since it began in 2014, the World Green Economy Summit has been an important event for discussing climate action, sustainability, and green finance. It has played a key role in bringing together people from around the world to share ideas, make plans, and take action toward fighting climate change. HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and MD & CEO of DEWA, shared his thoughts on the summit’s importance. He said that WGES has played a big part in pushing for climate efforts and cooperation among countries. He added that the 2025 summit will continue to support the UAE and Dubai’s leadership in global climate action, balancing economic development with environmental sustainability.
