The UAE celebrated its 53rd National Day with a big event at Jebel Hafeet, a tall mountain in Al Ain. The event, called "Eid Al Etihad," told the story of the UAE. It used history, nature, and new technology to show how the country has grown.
A Big and Special Celebration
Many people joined the celebration—10,000 in total! They included Emiratis, people from other countries, and musicians from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. There were real camels, palm trees, and a special star called Thuraya in the show. These things made the event feel close to nature and history.
The stage was very big. It was made to look like the mountain. The stage also used materials that are good for the environment. This showed how much the UAE cares about nature.
The Thuraya Star: A Guide in the Sky
The event started with a tribute to the Thuraya Star, one of a group of stars in the sky. Long ago, this star helped Emirati people find their way and understand the weather. The show used pictures and stories to teach about how important this star was for people in the past.
Stories of the Past
The event told important stories from the UAE’s history. It started with the Hafeet Period (3000–2500 BCE) and showed how the falaj irrigation system turned deserts into green farms. The show celebrated palm trees because they helped Emirati people live and grow. Performers, children, and camels acted out scenes from the past, like trading and welcoming guests.
Honoring Great Leaders
The event paid special respect to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the man who helped bring the UAE together. It also honored his mother, Sheikha Salama bint Butti Al Qubaisi. The show explained how she taught Sheikh Zayed to be kind, brave, and wise. These values helped him make the UAE strong.
Another part of the show was about Sheikh Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, who worked in Al Ain for over 50 years. The show thanked him for his hard work to improve the UAE.
Music Under the Night Sky
Musicians from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, along with Emirati musicians, played beautiful songs. These songs filled the night sky. The music was paired with drone shows, lights, and shadows. They showed important moments in the UAE’s history, like the signing of the Union Pledge in 1971 and the unification of the Armed Forces in 1976.
Dance and Songs to Show Unity
The event ended with a special dance called the Harbiya dance. This is a traditional Bedouin dance where people use swords. Sheikh Tahnoon loved this dance. It showed how strong and united the UAE is.

The final song of the night was "Badu Benaina Ommah" (We Built a Nation). It was performed by Coral Al Emarat. The song made everyone feel proud of the UAE’s history and future.
The UAE’s Story
This celebration was not just a show. It was a way to remember the UAE’s past, the wisdom of its leaders, and the dreams of its people. A line from the event explained it well:
"High in these mountains, the earth listens to the stars and tells stories waiting to be told."
A Show for Everyone
People who could not attend in person could still enjoy the event. It was shown live in cinemas like Vox, Novo, Reel, Roxy, and others. It was also broadcast on TV, YouTube, and the event’s website.
This National Day celebration showed how much the UAE has grown and reminded everyone of its bright future.
