100 Pakistani firms join Gulfood 2024 in UAE

Approximately 100 Pakistani food industry companies are actively participating in the Gulfood exhibition held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion at Zaa’beel Hall 6, highlighting a 40% increase in exports of Pakistani food-related items to the region within a year. Notably, dairy products from Pakistan have made a significant impression in the UAE and other Gulf nations.

Tirmizi underscored the potential for economic prosperity by leveraging Pakistan's abundant natural resources and encouraged the focus on increasing exports. The Gulfood expo, hosting participants from over 100 countries, serves as a platform for Pakistani exhibitors to showcase products in rice, dairy, spices, herbals, and beverages. Emphasizing the role of farmers and businesspeople, Tirmizi urged a concerted effort to enhance exports by targeting untapped markets. Key officials, including Hussain Muhammad and Adeem Khan, visited stalls set up by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan.
