The United Arab Emirates has extended heartfelt condolences and solidarity to the Republic of Kenya following the devastating landslides caused by torrential rains in the western region of the country. The natural disaster has claimed multiple lives and left widespread destruction in its wake.
In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed profound sympathy to the families of the victims and conveyed sincere condolences to the Kenyan government and people during this difficult time.
The ministry reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to standing with Kenya in the face of such humanitarian tragedies, highlighting the deep ties of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
Kenyan authorities reported that days of relentless rainfall triggered landslides in several mountainous areas, burying homes and displacing families. Emergency teams are continuing rescue and relief efforts amid challenging conditions.
The UAE’s message of support underscores its ongoing humanitarian stance and readiness to assist nations affected by natural disasters around the world.
