The 22nd edition of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) is preparing to welcome visitors with an even richer experience in 2025. Known as the largest event of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa, ADIHEX is once again combining Emirati traditions with modern innovations.

This year’s exhibition stands out with the launch of four brand-new sectors that promise to add excitement and variety. These include the Arabian Saluki Sector, Camel Sector, Knives Sector, and the Souq Sector. Each one has been carefully designed to highlight cultural heritage while introducing modern elements that will attract both local and international visitors.

A Royal Patronage

The exhibition is being held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers’ Club. His vision focuses on protecting and promoting authentic Emirati traditions such as falconry, hunting, and equestrianism, while also encouraging global cultural exchange.

Organised by ADNEC Group in partnership with the Emirates Falconers’ Club, the event will take place at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi. With a total of 15 sectors this year, ADIHEX continues to strengthen its role as the premier platform for heritage, innovation, and culture.

Arabian Saluki Sector – A Living Heritage

One of the highlights of ADIHEX 2025 is the introduction of a special sector dedicated to the Arabian Saluki, a dog breed deeply tied to Emirati history. A museum-inspired setup will showcase the role of Salukis in hunting, their loyalty, intelligence, and endurance that made them trusted companions for generations.

Visitors will get to explore the two main types of Saluki dogs: the short-haired Al-Hoss and the long-haired Aryash, along with sub-varieties. This sector celebrates the diversity of Salukis and explains their importance in the region’s cultural and hunting traditions.

Camel Sector – Blending Tradition with Modernity

Camels have always been known as the “ships of the desert” and a vital part of Emirati culture. The Camel Sector at ADIHEX 2025 will bring this heritage to life with exciting activities such as live camel beauty contests and skill demonstrations.

The sector will also feature camel racing products, equipment, and local crafts created by skilled artisans. By merging tradition with modern sporting trends, this section showcases how camels remain a source of cultural pride as well as a competitive sport in the UAE.

Knives Sector – Craftsmanship and Innovation

Another exciting addition is the Knives Sector, which will display a wide collection of hunting knives from across the world, including the UAE, USA, Germany, Japan, and Italy. The exhibits range from classic heritage-inspired designs to modern professional knives.

Visitors will not just see but also test the knives first-hand. Exclusive designs inspired by the desert will be showcased for the very first time. The sector will also host interactive workshops on knife-making and maintenance, along with live sessions by master craftsmen where visitors can customise and purchase their own unique knives.

Souq Sector – A Cultural Marketplace

The new Souq Sector promises to be a vibrant hub for shopping and cultural exploration. It will offer a wide range of products including traditional handicrafts, heritage attire, perfumes, jewellery, artisanal tools, and local Emirati food.

The Souq will also provide a platform for small businesses and entrepreneurs to display their creations to an international audience. Visitors looking for authentic gifts, desert-inspired crafts, or immersive cultural shopping experiences will find plenty to explore in this lively marketplace.

A Complete Experience

Beyond these four new additions, ADIHEX will continue to feature its traditional focus areas, including falconry, equestrianism, fishing, outdoor sports, camping, and marine activities. The exhibition serves as a bridge between cultures by welcoming visitors, exhibitors, and experts from across the globe.

The event is not only about tradition but also about the latest technologies and innovations in hunting, equestrianism, and outdoor activities. ADIHEX has built a reputation for being both a celebration of Emirati culture and a global meeting point for heritage preservation and modern development.

Why ADIHEX Matters

The exhibition has grown to become more than just an event. It is a symbol of Abu Dhabi’s leadership in cultural preservation, while also showing how traditions can adapt to modern times. It celebrates the deep-rooted values of the UAE while connecting them with a global audience eager to experience and learn from this heritage.

By introducing the Saluki, Camel, Knives, and Souq Sectors, ADIHEX 2025 is not only expanding its scope but also enriching the visitor experience and reaffirming its title as the largest and most diverse event of its kind in the region.
